Bubble Tea in Atlanta

John Salmon Nov 10, 2000 01:00 PM

I became obsessed with Bubble Tea during a recent trip to Vancouver. Does anyone know anywhere in Atlanta that serves Bubble Tea? (If you don't know what BT is, search elsewhere on this site for lots of info.) If I can't find a Bubble Tea joint, I'll have to try making my own...where can I get those big fat straws???

There's a great place in little 5 pts. called Sweet Lime restaurant that serves Bubble Tea, and also many places on Buford Hwy. near the Asian Square. If you would like to place an order for personal use, you can go to www.crazybubbletea.com.

I have found bubble tea at Saigon and Penang. Penang has two locations and Saigon has several throughout the Atlanta area. They likely all offer bubble tea.

The spring and summer rolls and the pho and vermicelli bowls at Pho Hoa in Asian Square (5150 Buford Hwy NE) are most excellent. They serve bubble tea there. Stop in for a good lunch and enjoy some bubble tea at the same time.

The best bubble tea I've had in Atlanta was at White Windmill, the bakery on Buford Highway. Green tea bubble tea was excellent and they had a wide assortment of flavors.

My favorite is at Pho Dai Loi #2 at 4186 Buford Hwy NE. They also serve great pho and fresh spring rolls. I always get the green tea bubble tea smoothie :)
