frog legs anyone??

  • d

Does anyone know where I can get some good frog legs in central florida. I prefer the fried variety over the sauted version. I use to get some pretty good ones at Gary's Duck Inn but unfortunatly it has been gone for years and I've suddenly developed a craving for them recently.

    1. Tub Tim in Lake Worth also has the Thai version

      1. Off the top of my head I can recommend two placea. Black Hammock in Oviedo and The Catfish Place in Apopka serve them daily.
Nothing fancy. No extravagance. Just sauteed in butter and oil with some garlic and, as far as I know, farmed and probably not frozen.

just what i am looking for. Thanks Bob

        2. If you can make it east over to Fellsmere near the Brevard/Indian River county line, try Marsh Landing for authentic Florida cracker cuisine. (See restaurant review below.)

Don't they actually have a Frog Leg Festival each year, maybe in the spring?
This place is less than two hours from O-Town and well worth the trip.

          2. Actually I have had really good frog legs at High Tide Harry's. Corner of 436 and 50.
If you are a little more adventourous try driving out to Lone Cabbage Fish Camp on 520 between Orlando and Cocoa.
