Manero's Steak & Gorgonzola Salad (Palm City)
Anyone been? This is near where we live and my husband and I want to have a belated V-Day dinner there. Lord knows we love steak and gorgonzola, usually together. . .please let me know. Thanks!

Been long time since I been there but the prime rib was best I ever had. Shrimp scampi also is my frav scampi sauce anywhere. Gargonzola salad is also worth it. All in all when I lived in WPB this was best around now mind you I never made it to the breakers or four season stuff but for what I could afford Maneros was awesome

This is one of my favorite places. I have also visited their West Palm, Hallandale and Greenwich locations. They are all a little different, but the same core menu and concept. Not too long ago I was told that this one and another in Long Island were the only two left from a family chain of 9 or 10. Anyway, the prime rib and gorgonzola salad are the best I have found. They pour a good drink too.

I grew up eating at this establishment in West Palm Beach and it is still one of the places I "must" go to when I am visiting. The gorgonzola salad is excellent and the chateau briand is absolutely fabulous. People have a different take on it as I see here, but it's one place I never miss when I travel back to Florida.

My husband and I ate there years ago and never went back. The steak was like rubber- in texture and taste. The salad was bland. It seems to stay busy so maybe things improved. If you go, please let us know if it's any good these days. If you want a nice steakhouse, try Peter's in Jensen Beach.

re: twinmommy
Thanks, twinmommy. After hearing some other lukewarm rec's we're gonna skip it. OUR favorite steak place is Brio Tuscan Grill, and we just found out there's one in Gardens Mall (our favorite was at Mall at Milenia when we lived in Orlando) and it's sentimental to us, so we'll probably go there. :-)

Once famous in NJ and there was one in Hallendale, FL. Famous for that salad and their steaks. Garlic bread, too.
It is not going to be Ruth Chris stuff but I'd take a shot, if it were me. Does the place have a huge steer on the front lawn?›2 Replies-

In Delray beach, right on the beach,A1A,they are rebuilding the spot that used to house Peters. A giant sign out front has a photo of a guy named Manero, and touts the soon to be opened restaurant under his ownwership at the location. He is described as a well know restauranter.
