Hi, we moved here in June of 2004, and there are a few good Restaurants here. Tampa has lots, but New Port Richey is not as far as Tampa. We have few nationwide chains here. Outback, Cody's Roadhouse steakhouse, Red Lobster, and we will be getting a Olive Garden soon.

Not true, there are a dozen or so gems and they're even non-chains. Bare Bones on Hernando Beach is excellent. A quick drive up US 19 gets you to Crystal River Wine& Cheese Co. Great beer at St. Sebastiaan in Spring Hill, tho food is so-so (great tatar logs). And the best breakfast spot on the planet is 20 minutes away in Brooksville, Farmer Johns. Have been here for 3 yrs and I rarely go to Tampa for dinner.

Didn't St. Sebastiaan close down a long time ago?

Bare Bones is excellent! Loved the food there. Today we tried Barefoot Gardens in Spring Hill and it was good food with excellent prices. They have a wide variety of dishes, with a lot of home style food... soemthing for everybody. We will definitely go back to Barefoot Gardens (3480 Deltona Blvd, across from Hess).

There's a place in Hernando Beach called R Beach. (Shoal Line Rd) It looks kinda divey on the outside but don't let that fool you. The food is Chowhound worthy and there's live music on occasion. (R Beach 4054 Shoal Line Blvd 352.592.5558)

I have heard that St Sebastien's Brewery is good.

Last weekend we took my Grandmother out for her 95th Birthday. Based on the recommendations below we decided to go to Bare Bones in Spring Hill. It was not in my GPS but the address was there but under Spring Hill, not Hernando Beach as the website states.
This was one of the great seafood dinners that I have ever had!!! The waiter strongly recommended the Grouper special and most of us ordered it. It was fabulous. It was a huge piece of fish that was perfectly cooked. I heartily recommend this place. Thanks to the others for recommending this.
