I'm a Seattlite, and I've got my parents coming in from out of town and another relative in Puyallup that wants to meet us for dinner. He suggested Salty's in Redondo Beach, but I've never been impressed by their food, and have always had horrible service there, so it's up to me to find someplace that has that same sort of atmosphere (what they're looking for) but with better food and service (what I'm looking for). Nice view, very intimate, great service and consistently good food. For a nice place with a mid-price range, I also recommend El Fiasco in Tacoma. If you are more about taste and don't care that you are across the street from a Taco Bell, then go to Primo Grill. The Alaskan scallops and also the goat cheese lasagne were both excellent.
