chilean empanadas
Does anyone know of any Chilean restaurants in the south florida area? I live in Broward and am craving these like mad!! They are baked, not fried and have a wonderful filling of meat, boiled egg, raisin and spices. They are awesome! I had a girlfriend whose mom used to make them at christmas and they were so worth the wait!! If anyone knows where or if they exist, let me know. Thanx

re: William Fox
they have them hot and ready to eat in their cafeteria.
they cost $2.00 and they are often sold out. the free
homemade salsa is a big plus. the place is colombian
owned. it's super clean. a busy place. they are on forest hill blvd, a block west of s. military rd.
these emps are made at "pan pan" an argentinian bakery, closeby. they sell them at the same price without the tasty salsa and "other extras"
the chileans have frequent "everyone welcome" gatherings at their organization/clubhouse on lake worth rd. the empanadas are the focus.

Chilean empanadas- there are 2 Chilean places in Miami that I know of that have all things Chilean- including, of course, empanadas- Pamela's Deli - and Sabores Chilenos- you can find them in the yellow pages for Miami- Sabores Chilenos has two locations - on in South Beach and the other somewhere in Miami.
The empanadas in both locations are, naturally, fabulous.
