Good Food in Bonita Springs/Naples area
- Stephanie Domiano
Breakfast, outdoor dining, casual eats, seafood
If you are staying in Bonita Springs, driving to Naples can be a nightmare but there are quite a few restaurants to keep you well fed.
I don't know any quirky breakfast spots. All the chains are here: Mel's Diner, Perkins.
Seafood and sophisticated atmosphere: Roys yes, this is the same Roys as in Hawaii and Beverly Hills. I love the Butter Fish and the Chocolate souffle.
Nice french restaurant, inexpensive for this area, Margaux near the entrance to Pelican Landing
Traders: This is a funky place owned by the clothing chain Chicos. Combo of retail and dining which they have pulled off quite well. Very avante garde atmosphere and good food that is not too out there. Not clothing store but intruiging world furniture and accessories.
If you want food right on the beach there is a great Hamburger dive at the end of Bonita Beach key. Take Bonita Beach road onto the barrier island and it is about a block in.
People rave about Rodes Seafood on Bonita Beach Road but I haven't eaten there but do buy my fish and shrimp there almost weekly.
PF Changs is opening this week. I have loved this chain in other cities and am happy to have it in North Naples at Immokalee Road and US 41 which is the main drive through Collier and Lee Counties and all the restaurants are on or near this road. Sharon
Chops: near the entrance to the Brooks in Estero. Another one is in Naples. Great Steaks, bistro type food
