We'll be camping at John Dickinson State Park. Is there any good takeout nearby or places to pick up a picnic lunch for the beach?

If you go north of J.D. on US1 1/4 past Bridge Road, on
your left you will see C&W Barbeque, my personal fave
in that area. At the Winn-Dixie seafood counter across
the road, they will steam snow crab legs or shrimp for
5-7 dollars a pound.
If you go south of J.D. into Tequesta and Jupiter, there are a number of options. It's pretty hard to get
lost, so here's my short list:

1. Publix for picnic stuff, beer and wine
2. Thai Lotus-outstanding Thai food in Publix Shopping
center.
3. Pasquale's Italian Restaurant & Deli, Alt.A1A and
Cypress Dr., great subs and specialties.
4. Vesuvio's Italian Rest. & Bakery on US1 next to the Chevron in Tequesta, good zuppa de pesce to go.
5. Lighthouse Restaurant, corner of US1 and Alt.A1A
hearty breakfast and diner fare, 24/7.
6. Pep's Sea Grill, just before Lighthouse Rest., very
good fresh seafood, priced reasonably. It gets crowded,
go for the early bird.

Check out Blowing Rocks Beach while you're there,
especially if the seas are kicking. Hope you have a
great time.

P.S. The Miss Blue Heron is docked at the Jupiter Inlet
just east of the US1 bridge. Full-contact drift fishing
$25 a head for a half-day. They will get you on top of
some dolphin. Bring a cooler for drinks and to pack
your filets home.
