Looking for jazz and cuban sandwiches in St Pete

I'm visiting St Pete in a couple weeks. I love good jazz and would like the insider's recommendation for a top spot for jazz in the St Pete area. Hopefully, there will be some great food accompanying it? Please? Even some out-of-this-world pub grub would hit the spot. By the way, I've read the postings about the local cuban sandwiches. The last time I had a cuban in Florida (I'm from the Buffalo area) was about five years ago. It was a welcome change from ho-hum subs, as they call 'em around here. La Teresita and the Floridian seem tied for the best cuban around St Pete. Can anyone break the tie? I'm only gonna have one cuban sandwich while I'm there, and I want it to be the best. This low-sodium diet is really cramping my style. Thanks fellow chowhounds!
Haven't been down there in awhile, but recall decent jazz on the weekends at the Hurricane Seafood Restaurant on St. Pete Beach.
May want to peek at the local jazz station (well, "smooth" jazz), to see what else is around.
For Cuban sandwiches, I like Carmine's in Ybor City, Tampa:
1802 7th Avenue
Tampa, FL 33605
Phone: (813) 248-3834
Fax: (813) 248-3460
While visiting cousins, wife and I went to Carmine's in Tampa, based largely on this posting. We really liked the oysters gaspar, found the cuban sandwich good, and the roast pork plate disappointing. Much better cuban sandwich in St Pete (believe it or not) at Carribean Cafe on Central. Roast pork and jerk sauce fantastic. Don't know about jazz in either Tampa or St Pete.
