Worst lunch ever: Midulla's, Tampa

I read an old (11 months) newspaper review talking about all the wonderful food at this restaurant. I felt like something fancy, so took my girlfriend there. The place was seemingly abandoned, though a couple employees were hanging out. Someone obviously close to the owner (wife?) had all her friends at the only occupied table in the joint.

The menu was tiny, and i was already crestfallen at the crappy selection (spaghetti, sandwiches, etc). We were sooo hungry, we decided to stay and give it a try. Big mistake.

My steak sandwich was more like a gristle sandwich, worse than what i'd make at home and tough as a squad of marines. The clam chowder was okay, but not distinctive. The deviled crab was limp and stinky, like a thawed-out 1 year old deviled crab. The crab pasta was disgusting, made with what tasted like week-old cheap crab mixed with spaghetti sauce over noodles. The whole lunch and feel of the place was disgusting. I don't know what they do to survive, but food ain't it. Don't EVER go there. Barely digestable.
