Gift Certificate Ideas for NOLA restaurant

Lumpy Mar 3, 2006 11:01 PM

I'm flying into NOLA over St Patrick's Day weekend for a wedding. I'd like to surprise the bride and groom with a $100 gift certificate to a restaurant. I'm looking at restaurants with entrees prices at $30 and under. The bride and groom are not the adventurous sorts when it comes to eating, but I would like to treat them to some excellent food in a modern atmosphere, if possible. I've done a little research and narrowed it down to Cobalt, Restaurant Cuvee, Lilette, but I'll take any suggestions!

Thanks in advance...

The Louisiana Restaurant Association has gift certificates available to dine at any LRA member restaurant. Go to lra.org to order.

I like Clicquot idea. Never had a recommendation from him that was right on.

Another possibility is a Ralph Brennan group gift card. All of their properties are favorites of mine, particularly Ralph's on the Park. I posted the link below.

My typing stinks again. I meant to post that one can always count on Clicquot's recommendations to be good ones. Sorry.

      Cobalt is closed.

My first choice for gift certificates is Bayona, and the lunch and dinner menus have plenty for the less adventuresome.

Ditto on Bayona. Nice for a romantic dinner.
