We enjoyed Mardi Grai several years ago and plan to hit Mother's, Central Grocery, Uglesiche's while in NO. We also are planning to visit Cajun Country for Food, Music, etc. Any recommendations for NO, Eunice, Houma, & Lake Charles etc. would be appreciated. (We enjoy the hole in the wall joints!!) I would like get general idea of what to expect with New Years falling on the week-end. Will many of the family run restaurants be closed over the entire New Years week-end?
