JACQUES-IMOS IN NEW YORK CITY!

That's right folks!! it's finally going to happen- ( I was in New Orleans October and Jacques the man hisself told me the joint would be open in Dec 2003- but nooooo) I passed by the location today and there's a sign in the window- opening Feb 2004!

I had such a great time in N'awlins, I can't wait!!

Be nice or leave.

    1. Where in NYC is it? (Jaques had told me that it would be where Spiazzia is on 77/Col, but the restaurant was still open a few weeks ago when I passed it by)

Very excited about this news. I live in Toronto, but get down to NYC almost monthly on business.

Can't imagine how they could ever duplicate the unique vibe of the original, but we can hope the food will be as good:

Alligator cheesecake, stuffed pork chops, fried chicken.

          I'm so there.

Post any more specific details as soon as you find out.

We'll be there too! We have a Pet De Kat Krewe Konvergence! There should be about 19 of us.

Richard- that's exactly right! It'll be on the corner of 77th & Columbus, diagonally across from Isabellas, next to the Sunday flea market in the schoolyard.

The sign I saw was in the (now closed) Spiazzia's window.

Sheesh, I hope I can get a reservation for the opening!
