Boar

A while back, someone inquired about wild boar dishes locally. I recall some discussion on it. At any rate, There is a dish at Andrea's in Metairie. I had it the past week and it was very enjoyable.
On another note, has anyone tried Mississippi Fried chicken and bar-b-q on South Rampart St?

    1. We recently had a boar meat-based ragu sauced over tagliatelle at Andreas. Very good, seemed sort of Tuscan.

As far as Mississippi Fried Chicken goes, that's a pretty regular lunch spot for us when wee're not meeting clients. The place is also called Popagee's, it's just about 4 blocks from the office and some of the staff arrange their schedule to work out at the Superdome fitness center just before lunch. We (4 or
5 of us) all meet at Popagee's to eat and walk back together.

The fried chicken is very good, as is the red beans. This is maybe the best off-the-beaten-path lunch place in the old CBD.
