Lemon Grass Good..Drago's Not so Good

I went to Lemongrass for lunch Wednesday..whew! Two excellent items to report back on:
First, the GUMBO was among the best I've tasted in New Orleans! Velvety texture, perectly spiced and chock full of shrimp, crawfish, scallops, and oysters.
Second, The BACHMANN SALAD contained 12 (count 'em 12) jumbo pasko-crusted shrimp atop a generous salad of intereting greens with an asian type vinagrette dressing. GREAT LUNCH!
On the other hand, the Char-broiled Oysters at Drago's in Metarie were, disappointly, not-so-hot yesterday. The oysters didn't seem really fresh..kind of mealy texture. Maybe they were over cooked. Anyone else have this problem there? I've never had a problem before.
Vinny

  1. Suprised to hear that about Drago's! They usually have the best oysters - raw and otherwise - especially the charbroiled.

The oysters were awesome there (Drago's). The best in NOLA. Might have been an off day.
