Just back from 5 days in NOLA. Mostly a "business" trip (looking for a place, moving down in July), but we tried a couple of new (to us) places in the Marigny, on Frenchmen, and had great meals.

Adolpho's. A little place (12-15 tables) on Frenchman serving Italian creole. Excellent rack of lamb ($20.95), mussels, escargot, pasta. For 3 people: 2 appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 bottles of wine, $130.

Santa Fe. Frenchman and Dauphine. Southwest with creole touches. I had shrimp and crawfish fajitas, which were excellent. Salsa was from a jar, but everything else was great. Dinner for 4 with cocktails: $110.

Yet another who can't live away from the food!
When you hit town, if you've got non-food related questions, post (or email) away...I'm sure they'll be answered too!

Thanks! I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions, especially of the "where can I buy ingredient-X" variety.

Not a problem...just let us know, we'll hopefully have an answer.
