New Orleans late November

Just got back from a wonderful trip to N.O. Thanks to all who recomended Ugelisch's...the fried oysters with blue cheese were a standout! Nice dinner at Bella Luna. If you haven't been, be sure to have the blackened tuna carpaccio appetizer!!! Our waitress told us that if it isn't on the specials list, just to ask for it. The osso buco was O.K., but I would order something else the next time.
Wonderful restaurant on Oak St.(I believe) called Jacquesimos. Friends who live there took us, and it is amazing!! Nothing that we had was less than wonderful, but the chicken liver appetizer and the carpetbagger steak were standouts! They don't take reservations, and ther is always a wait on the weekends, so try to go early or during the week. Ate at Irenes in the Quarter, and it was very good as well, although the staff is a little surly. The duck was a standout.
