Stella at the Hotel Provincial?
I haven't been there yet, although we have friends who live around the corner from the restaurant and love it. (We were supposed to go there with them on a Tuesday but that's the day it's closed.) But check out the current discussion on the Times-Picayune's food forum.

Just returned from a week in NO. We ate at Gamay Bistro, Martinique Bistro, Bayona, and Stella. My husband and I both enjoyed our meal at Stella's the best. The food was so excellant and the service very pleasant. I had the chef's special - that day it was striped sea bass served on louisiana crab cakes with a sauce that had lump crab meat. It was heaven and one of the other waiters even came over to check what I thought of the dinner. This place has only been open a few months but from comments I heard from other tables this place is going to be a big hit.
