MSP: Fish Tacos

Anyone have a recommendation for good fish tacos in the Twin Cities?

Weird that Jenniegirl bumped this thread up just as I was posting about a fish taco sighting in another old thread...anyway, CA Cafe in the MOA has them--detailed info posted in this thread: http://www.chowhound.com/topics/40824...

Sub lobster for fish, and I would say Tiburon has great lobster tacos! And for fish tacos and second the Tin Fish recommendation! They have all sorts of seafood tacos including shrimp and scallop - yum, I can't wait for summer!

I miss Tiberon! Those lobster tacos were one of the best things I've ever had!

Pancho Villa on Eat Street (near Black Forest)
They seem to specialize in seafood.
It's been months since I've been there, but I have found them to be consistently good.

They're not stellar, but the fish tacos at Pepitos, in that minimall at 46th & Nicollet, are decent. I like that they put cabbage on them, gives them a pleasant crunch. At Pepitos you always have to liberally add pico de gallo and hot sauce from the condiment table to give the food some lightness and zip.

NOT Chico Chica. I've had the worst fish tacos there. Actually, I found both my experiences there horrible. My dining companions also disliked the food.

If you can stand to wait for warm weather, Sea Salt at Minnehaha Falls Park in Minneapolis makes great ones. I think they're supposed to reopen for the season on April 1 -- anybody know for sure?

'the tin fish' at lake calhoun is similar to sea salt and has excellent fish tacos. i don't know when they're set to re-open for the spring/summer, but i can't wait.
