Howdy,

We are having a family gathering next week in Lake Geneva and, while there, will be having a dinner to celebrate 3 birthdays.

There will be twelve of us (8 adults, 4 kids) and a couple of the group are not very adventurous eaters.

I have been in the Lake Geneva/Delavan area a few times over the years and I am familiar with most of the popular places (yes, the chicken at Popeye's IS very good). I am hoping to find someplace a little more quiet where a group our size can enjoy some conversation and not feel rushed.

Most people in the party will probably want to order basic steak/chicken/seafood dishes.

A friend of mine who frequently golfs at Lake Lawn suggested a place called Ralph's Steakhouse in Delavan, but his suggestions have not always been reliable in the past.

Thanks for any help!

I've eaten at Ralph's and it is ok, a nice variety of things on the menu and they can handle large parties without a problem. Friend who is in the restaurant biz just told me of a very enjoyable meal they had last week at Kirsch's Restaurant at the French Country Inn. I've driven by and it always looked like a neat place with nice patio dining on the lake. I have also driven by but never stopped at Papa Cory's which is also on the lake and has patio dining. I'm a big fan too of Popeye's (love the skordalia) but these others sound more special.
