Hello,
Next weekend I'll be in Milwaukee. Any suggestions for a lunch spot in Glendale and a mid-range priced restaurant near the Milwaukee Art Museum?
We enjoy all types of food, interested in finding places with great atmospheres.
Thanks!

I don't know how casual you are thinking for lunch in Glendale, but Kopp's is right there with burgers and custard.

Glendale is mostly fast-food, chain restaurants.

A sad but true description of Glendale, but there are a couple of exceptions in addition to Kopp's: there is of course Solly's for burgers & shakes (corner of Port Washington Rd & Glendale Rd), and the Chinese place--Golden Palace, I think it is--at the corner of Port Washington & Green Tree.

Barlotta's Lake Park Bistro is lovely & good French food, very close to the Museum - I believe they serve lunch. Enjoy the museum & don't miss the Impressionist's & post-Impressionists areas - they're hard to find, but amazing!

In Glendale, there is also "The Anchorage Restaurant" in the Hilton Hotel on Port Washington Rd & Hampton. Excellent fresh seafood. They are open at lunch.

I agree that "Lake Park Bistro" would be a wonderful choice for dinner. It's less than a mile north of the Art Museum and is in a lovely park with a beautiful setting & historic building, overlooking Lake Michigan. Excellent food with wonderful warm service. You will always remember your visit. One of Milwaukee's best restaurants. ( make resevations -- very popular destination. )

Hi there !
Another restaurant suggestion for you---
French bistro "Coquette Cafe" in Milwaukee is offering a special menu in conjunction with the Art Museum's Degas sculpture exhibit. According to menu info on their website, each course represents the 3 regions where Degas spent time as an artist. Check their website for more info, plus it's a fun informative website. Chef/owner Sanford D'Amato is an award winning chef, and his two Milwaukee restaurants
are among the best in Milwaukee.
P.S. Let us know how you enjoyed your visit and meals.... thanks
