Nachos in the Twin Cities

Nick Aug 13, 2004 10:29 PM

OK - so they aren't fine food - but they are great with a beer! Does anyone have recommendations for pubs / restaurants that offer great nachos? They seem to be a dying appetizer. I love them - if you have a suggestion on great places to go - let me know!

I haven't had them in a while but Stub & Herb's has great nachos.

I haven't had these in awhile either, but the Bryant Lake Bowl used to have good nachos.

I haven't been there for awhile, but Tracy's Saloon at 26th and Franklin used to have great nachos.

Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery has great nachos. I order mine with cajun chicken. The pile is so large that together my wife and I can not finish them.

Town Hall Brewery also has the best quesadillas I've had in a long time. Great wheat beer too!

not sure what the "standard of identity" is for nachos, but the ones served at Bar Abilene with table-side guacamole are nice, crispy and flavorful!

Like so many others, it seems, I haven't had them in a while, but the Nachos Azteca (white chicken, black beans, garlic, cilantro, white cheese) at La Cuc on Dale in St. Paul used to be pretty damn wonderful with a mug of Summit EPA.
