I don't know how long this place has been around since the Linden Hills neighborhood is relatively new to me. I lunched there today and would definitely return. I had, and would recommend, the carrot and coriander soup, and the pork, rice and salsa verde stew. Cafe 28 has one of the better foreign and domestic micro brew selections in town, with Bell's and Stella Artois on tap, and Ayinger Weisse, Orval, and Hoegaarden to name a few. If someone has eaten dessert there, I would like to know. I'm generally wary of paying five or six dollars for dessert, so I passed on the chance today.

Rice Paper (next door) and Zumbro Cafe are two other places on the same street in Linden Hills which I would recommend.

Cafe 28 opened about two years ago, when D'Amico and Sons decided not to renew their lease. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood. I hope they can make a go of it.

I've eaten there several times. The setting is great, the people are excellent and I've loved the food each time. They do know their microbreweries, and they have some fine brews available.
