Wedding Caterer needed

  • b

I am looking fo a caterer that is not too expensive for about 300 guests. The wedding will be in Evanston. With the amount of guests I will have it is not easy to go to a banquet hall and pay 50+ people. Nay suggestions of any chicago are caterers that serve good food, but not at a high price?

  1. A good friend of mine used Va Pensiero Restaurant in Evanston as their caterers. There's a friendly guy named Tim who handles there catering department. My friend had their wedding at the Women's Club of Evanston, with Va P as their caterer. I hope this helps.

I used J and L catering (Chicago) for my daughter's wedding at The Woman's Club of Evanston in April. They did a great job with both the food and the service. Contact them to see if they meet yout budget requirements.Website is www.jandlcatering.com

        1. I was at a dinner catered by Michael Restaurant in Winnetka. Very good food and my friends said that the $$$ was very reasonable.

          1. Try Froggy's Catering in Highwood - they're a french caterer with really reasonable prices, and they include the wedding cake!

Mark Sparacino does great work, both at his small, intimate restaurant and his extensive catering operation. Great reviews in all the foodie columns/papers.

              1. One of the only catering groups in the Chicago area that works with your budget is Jordan's Food of Distinction. They had a nice article about them in Chicago Bride. We went to a wedding that they catered and it was terrific.

                1. I think I've learned that "not too expensive" and "wedding" are not agreeable terms. :)

                  1. Have you found anyone? I do catering for events such as yours.
