Port Townsend dinner

Dad's coming to town (Seattle), and we're headed to Port Townsend. Any thoughts on the eating options? I'm looking for a good place for dinner (not Thai - he's not a fan).

And does anyone know if that fish and chips place on the old ferry dock is in operation this month? They did the best fish in a dill batter...

Try Lonny's--they are a small, intimate restaurant, simply GOOD food. They used to/still (?) make a Timbale ala the film "Big Night". Definitely call for reservations.

Check out the Fountain Steps Cafe.

I have to say that I had a phenomenal dinner at the Fountain Cafe a few months ago, but recently returned to find that they have a new chef and the food was only so-so. We were so disappointed!

Wild Coho in Uptown (Lawrence St.) is best meal in town. Landfall at Port Hudson overlooking boat harbor is unpretentious, but offers excellent salmon and halibut. Fins has good food and nice view of waterfront.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Dad wanted a view over good food, so we wound up on the water. But I had been wracking my brain on the name of this tiny place where I had had a great risotto once - it was the Fountain Cafe, of course. Maybe next time I'll make it back there.
