Any suggestions for a good steak house? It's for Father's Day, and we'd like something that doesn't do things ala carte. Also, we have a five-month-old, who will be coming w/. So far, my husband has turned down Ruth Chris, Smith & Wollensky, Matteson's Steakhouse, La Fonda & The Chophouse. We'll go anywhere in the city.

What about the Brazillian all-you-can-eat meat places such as Fogo de Chao, Sal y Carvao, Brazzaz, etc.? I find these places busy and noisy, so a young child might be less of a problem than at the "serious" steakhouses.

I always like it when I ask something and
nobody answers. The husband and I are kindred
spirits (I was going to say sounds like he's
fusier than me and paying for it).
1) Mateo's: Mexican cloth tablecloth joint,
treats you real nice, family friendly,
reasonable, skirt steak/carne asada. Comes
with rice, beans, chips, salsa, cheese
echelada (sic). Free shot kaluha & cream end
of meal with cookies. Don't order the ground
beef tacos or the Carne Asada ala Tampenieca,
the tacos are a greasy mess.
2) Jameson's Charhouse: Butt steak, very good,
soup, salad, bread inclueded. Like 15.95?
3) Sabatino's: never been there, gets positive
postings on board(s). Probably cost more than
Jamesons or Mateo's but full meal, not ala--.
Old school Italian, room with character.
