Has anyone been? I have reservations in a couple weeks...but I have read a few bad stories about the service and treatment of younger folks (I'm 25 and will be dining with several other people in that age range).

Any experiences, good or bad?

I was at Le Titi De Paris last year just at the time chef and owner Pollin was retiring and turning the reins over to Michael Maddox. Maddox was the long time sous chef and what I've read indicates he's maintained the high standards. It's on the expensive side but has good ambiance to go with the food. If you look on their web site there is a $25 printable coupon which is usable Sunday thru Thursday.

I've eaten many times at Le Titi, and it's always a good experience. If you want to be treated nice there, then just respect the place and the people who wait on you. Don't act like the place is TGIFRiday's or ESPNZone. It's a fine place, and if you treat everyone nice, they'll do the same. There are a couple of old time waiters who may seem gruff, but that's their way, and it's no reflection on you.

Let me recommend some dishes: The salmon in the Pollin style is the best, the seared foie gras is also tops, the venison is awesome, as is their lobster dishes. I am not too crazy over the salads, only because they seem to be hit or miss; you might get lucky. For dessert, try the Manjari, it is wonderful. Le Titi is a great place, and it has changed with the new owner, but I am more than happy to give him a chance.

Just letting you know---it was a fantastic experience. We went all out, did all the courses, dessert, wine flights. Pricey yes, but incredibly worth it and highly recommended for a special occassion.

Thanks!
