Hi- I live in Boston and was wondering what the frozen slush is like in Chicago. What do you call it? (which spelling?) Is it soft-serve as I am imagining? Do you have any favorite places to eat it? Please respond as soon as you can. Thanks.

Erm, I guess the closest chow-equivalent is either Italian Lemonade or Italian Ice.

For those, try Mario's on Taylor or Gina's in Forest Park on Roosevelt. (For Lemonade/Ice in that order).

Italian ice has the firmness of a sorbet or so. Italian lemonade is a slush-style usually.
