Chow Map

You know how you can buy tourist maps with all of the museums, stadiums, skyscrapers, etc... Well, I make my own map with my most important landmarks, good restaraunts, marked. Armed with this, I can assess my situation wherever I am in the city when I get hungry or plan my day to hit X for lunch and Y for dinner. I was thinking it might be good to post it on my website with the Maxwell St. guide. Is there sufficient interest?

I miss the Duomo, but I miss the gelato, ricotta ravioli, Mercado Centrale, Silvano the cheese man, etc, more.

Yeah, run it up the flagpole and see who salutes!

go for it. I keep pondering programming a little something to take the addresses people so wonderfully post here and create something of a dynamic online map of chicago, with each place mentioned on the board marked down in real time, with a link to each review/thread.

But, of course, I'm far too lazy.

Here is a link http://www.chowhound.com/topics/show/306461 to another post with a similar request to map. I suggested www.wayfaring.com, it's a free online mapping tool that lets you create a map of anything you want. For each point on the map you create you can have photos and descriptions (wiki format) associated with it. My comment to the other post also has some links to a few of the foodie maps that I like on the site.
