Where To Buy Fresh Pasta

The New York board has a good discussion about Lasagna and what sounds like a fine recipe for a homemade baked lasagna.

Thinking that Lasagna would be a great dish for a brisk fall weekend, does anyone know where, in the Chicago area, I can buy fresh pasta sheets for lasagna? The time savings of buying versus making my own will be a key.

I've always had good luck with Pasta Fresh, on Harlem near Addison..

      Ed,

Pasta Fresh is where I would recommend as well and there is the added bonus of an Italian grocery, Gino’s, next door. My copy of A Cooks Guide to Chicago also lists The Pasta Shop on N Harlem, I have never been there, but it may be worth a try.

There is (used to be?) a fresh pasta shop in the 3900 block of Broadway, just before Irving, that sold fresh pasta, but I bought pasta there that had mold all along the bottom ten years ago and I am still carrying a grudge.

      Enjoy,
      Gary

The Pasta Shoppe is very good. I also agree that Pasta Fresh is another good choice.
