Source for goat's milk

Jen M Nov 2, 2002 09:41 AM

Hi there--

I have recently embarked on a cheesemaking adventure and I would like to try using goat's milk next. I'm looking for a source for goat's milk in gallon quantity; can any of you help me?

Thanks, Jen

My local Jewel Food Store sells goat's milk - situated at Howard & Kedzie, the SW corner of Evanston. I've seen the milk in the quart and half-gallon size, but not in a full gallon. The larger of the Devon Avenue Indo-Pak grocery stores probably have it also. A call to Patel Bros. on Devon Ave. will probably get you an answer.

Thanks. I am going up to Devon this weekend. I will look around. Also MooGrass farms (www.moograssfarms.com) sells Goat's milk.

Really? Well, I am about to embark on a goat raising and milk production adventure and I am looking for a good, consistent and reliable buyer like you. I am in the Southwest Illinois area.

Are you still embarking on your goat raising and milking adventure? If so, I would like to buy some milk on a consistent basis, and I could locate others as well.
