        <content>I know many people here are fans of Oaxaca cookery and thought you might be interested in this article on McDonalds coming to Oaxaca.

      <content>Please, no, the sight of tourist buses pulling up to the Zocodover in Toledo to disgorge people at the McDonalds is still lodged in my brain.
 
My husband, who is in the display graphics business, once was kept late at work, ruining a planned dinner at friends. When I finally insisted on picking him up, I was made to drive him from River North to the Transportation Building so he could post a large package via FedEx at the late hours FedEx kiosk there.
 
Several days later, when I had enough composure to ask him what the package contained, I learned it was menu boards for McDonalds in Colombia. Thus, globalizacion.
