noise level at topolobampo?

Mary Shaposhnik Feb 4, 2002 11:51 AM

Is Topolobampo quiet? I haven't been in years, during which I think they have expanded Frontera (I don't live in Chicago), but was planning a special dinner there on Saturday night. But quiet is key -- performer having voice trouble and can't strain to speak over noise right now. I can't remember--is there spillover noise from the bar or the Frontera side? Or are you insulated from the ruckus? Thanks.

And any favorites from the current menu are welcome.

I've always found it to be amazingly quiet given that Frontera is right next door. I'd ask not to be sit next to the kitchen though, where it's a bit noisier.
