Taste of Lebanon closed?!

  • 7

Passed it Sunday night while in a cab, at an early hour (6P) and I recall it normally being open around then. A big closed sign and a note! Tell me it ain't so!!! Called this afternoon and got no answer. Oh, please, please, please.

Anyone got the poop?

  1. Did you see the note? I'll go by tonight to see what I can find out. This could be horrible!

I am happy to report that Taste of Lebanon is still open. I got scared too, so I went there around 4:30 this afternoon for an early supper (had the excellent lentil soup and a big plate of fatoosh--evidently there's only one person who makes the tabouli and he wasn't going to be in until later). Everything was fine. I wonder why they were closed on Sunday?

Oh, thank you. Bless you. I was getting the shakes just thinking about it closing. I'm going tomorrow and giving him a big order and a big kiss.

Yes, still open, thank any deity you may believe in...

He sometimes keeps odd hours, and I know in winter he reduces his hours and closes earlier (at 8, instead of 9 in summer). So perhaps that's what the note was about?

I'll be there this weekend too. Phew. That was a close call.

Can we get an address? Could you also include a few details on why this resturant evokes such emotions? I searched the list for "Lebanon" (just subject lines) and found nothing.

            Regards,
            Peter

The food is good, fresh, cheap, unpretentious, and nourishing...what more could one ask for?
