Will be visiting Chigaco next month for five days with eight other women from my office; each of us has a fairly discerning palate. Am looking for suggestions of exceptional restaurants (funky, fun, upscale, downscale, whatever) and for a restaurant that represents quintessential Chicago. Will be staying at Hyatt on Riverwalk. Please advise.
There have been hundreds of postings on the great food Chicago has to offer. One way to start, is use the search engine on Chowhound's home page, top right corner. You can type in Chicago and/or add extras like "Italian", Thai, etc. There's an "embarrassment of riches" and expertise on the Chicago board. You'll get info enough to keeping you eating high on the 'hound for at least a month.
