109724 Tue Apr 17 17:08:01 -0700 2001 6 7 Chicago Area 0 591682 does anyone know where to buy fresh semi-cured manchego cheese (from spain--"manchego semicurado") i have purchased from sunset foods in northbrook and also whole foods on ashland and both times they have been dry (indicating it's been sitting since they cut it) and not very flavorful. i have also purchased poor quality manchego at cafe iberico's deli, a place where i figured i'd get a pretty decent cheese. anyone been to the market in sam's wine? usually in their ads they list a few cheeses. are they fresh?? I've been a regular at Sam's counter for over a year now. Very well maintained cheeses... very good selection (Neal's Yard, etc)... very knowledgeable staff. Give 'em a call.
