Alot of Chicagoans are spending time in Michigan's Harbor Country, around New Buffalo. There are some good eats, especially a little place called Brewster's Italian Cafe. Weird name that history explains, but the creativity of a daily changing menu, both for lunch and dinner is exceptional. Big cult following. No reservations. The 1-2 hour weekend waits are well worth the taste and quality. You can circumnavigate the wait with their "call ahead" policy. It is only an 75 minutes from the loop. Wood oven pizza was outstanding. Creative pasta dishes HUGE! Take home some of their house salad dressing. It's the Bomb!
