not much - I am told that Phoenix is decent, and Ben Pao just started doing dim sum. Chicago does not have a great "Chinatown" when compared to many other cities. We do have great asian food, but not too much of it is Chinese.
2131 S. Archer Ave.
Dim sum served daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
52 W. Illinois St.
A la carte dim sum service
every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Yeah, Phoenix is probably the most well known and
have recieved a lot of good reviews.
My favorite is one tiny place on Wentworth in
Chinatown, China Garden - all though not a standard
dim sum place (they don't have the carts, Hong Kong
style like Phoenix does) but good none the less.
I like their char siu bao and also the shrimp dumplings. Good service as well. The place is jam packed on Sundays! There's a lot of bakeries nearby
where you can get things like curry beef buns and soy
bean drink for the ride home.
