Pizza near downtown/main Chicago Public Library

Carol Jul 10, 2000 06:13 PM

I will be in town on 7/14/00. I need to find a pizza place near the Chicago Public Library (main location)where a group of 20 - 25 people can eat on a Friday night(around 8pm). If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. This will be my first trip to Chicago.

Thanks in advance.

There is an Edwardo's just a couple of blocks away on Dearborn. The quality is up there with the other famous Chicago pizza places.

Offhand, i'd say you're pretty much outta luck. Not much good food of any kind downtown ("The Loop")--though others may disagree. However, spring for a cab(s) and there's plenty of decent pizzas within a $5-10 ride. Check out the Zagat guide, Chicago Reader restaurant finder or Metromix online and go for the recommended joints. Do you like thick or thin? Good luck.
