I second the motion for West. West. All the way. Oh, and while you're there, have the tasting menu at.....West.

            What you said!

West is the best restaurant in North America, IMNSHO.

            David Hawksworth kicks serious butt.

Tasting menu + wine pairings = amazement guaranteed.

West was spectacular. And here's the secret if you can go before 6pm the tasting menu is $48 (Canadian).

Yup. Their prix fixe early bird is the way to go. 3 of us dined nicely for less than 2 of us pigged out during normal menu hours.

For a true taste of what defines BC cuisine, Robert Clarke's tasting menu at C's should not be overlooked

i think if you really want to get a sense of bc cuisine you must go to aurora bistro who's menu is all bc product and and all bc wine list
