I thought I was onto something good when the night I popped in and the place was packed. It’s always packed every time I go there. The food is delicious and the service is fast. You have to put this on your list of places to try. The brown rice is fragrant and delicious. The platters are excellent too. And the chicken is outstanding - I asked once how they keep it so juicy and was told it was because they use thighs in-between the chicken breasts when cooking. Worth a try! The Shawarma place right accross from the Bytown Theatre on Rideau street is the best there is in the Centreville core. If you're willing to go to Orleans- you HAVE to go visit the Garlic King at Really Lebanese on St. Joseph Bvd. BEST Shawarma ever! He also has a new location on Bank St...which is closer to downtown. I think we have a Shawarma place to match every Tim Hortons store out here, anyways, Im still wading my way through all the vendors, but a far better exposed friend out here swears by the little place on Hazeldean Road (Kanata) its in a new strip mall hidden by (go figure) a Starbucks, Im pretty sure that was Shawarma Prince. I live just down the street from it and can't get enough. Most people, though, seem to think that Shawarma Palace is the place to be. I used to live around the corner from it and tried it a few times and wasn't really impressed. Nothing wrong with it, but after Really Lebanese, everything is a little disappointing by comparison.
