Where MUST I eat in Victoria tomorrow??
I, a New Englander visiting from Seville, Spain, am going to Victoria tomorrow on the ferry from Seattle. I have about five hours there in total and I would like to eat well. I'm particularly interested in eating excellent Indian or Chinese or Thai food, cuisines that are poorly represented in southern Spain. I'm looking for suggestions within walking distance of the harbor (but mind you, I have five hours to walk, so it doesn't have to be 100 feet away from the harbor.)
Thanks so much!
Sorry Jill, although I do not live in Victoria we frequently visit. That having been said I cannot think of a place I would recommend that "fits the bill" you have described.
I am assuming that you are coming in via the Victoria Clipper rather than the Coho via Port Angeles. Do not recollect when they arrive.
Are you there for lunch or dinner during your stay?
There must be Chinese or Thai spots that are good but generally speaking I have read more about Japanese places than the others. Similarly, there must be Indian places as well but we have not been to any.
We are usually at spots like Zambri's, Il Terrazzo [Italian], Cafe Brio, Brasserie L'Ecole, Lure in the Ocean Pointe and the like.
Please let us know if you "find" a spot. We intend to head out there at the end of next month.
