Kobe beef in Calgary

Does anyone know of any restaurants that serve Kobe beef (steaks or otherwise) in Calgary? Thanks in advance.

I wish I was making this up, but Milestone's offers a "Kobe Beef Meatloaf".

    No, seriously.

      Char:

I doubt that any restaurant in Calgary actually serves "Kobe" beef although as is likely the case with the Burger Inn some might make use scraps and trimmings of Wagyu beef raised in the US or here in Canada.

They may call it "Kobe" but although it may come from the same breed/line of cattle it is not in fact "Kobe beef".

That having been said it is nevertheless delcious. I have found the less you do with it the better. "Kobe beef" carpaccio for example was "melt-in-your-mouth" terrific, almost "butter-like" whereas a NY strip was quite good but nowhere near the "wow" factor.

I know some restaurants in Edmonton were selling a product obtained from the Snake River Ranch in I think Idaho and others were getting it from a producer in or around Camrose.

Have you tried Japanese Village downtown?
