New Years in Calgary

I am so out of the loop when it comes to "where to find the right party place".

A group of ten of us 30'somethings, would like to do New Years Eve up right, but do not know where to go. We want a place where we can dress up, have a great meal and then have dancing.

Any suggestions?

I would like to see if anyone else has some suggestions for a night out for the 30 something crowd.

You should look into doing New Years Eve at Eau Claire Market. They have many resturants and dancing at all the bars. Or you can try and find out where the black and white gala is this year. It's usually at the telus convention center...I think.

I can't speak to the dancing part specifically, but I spent New Year's eve with my wife at Muse (in Kensington) last year. It was an excellent set meal in a very romantic atmosphere. If things get rolling I know they do sometimes have dancing at Muse but that is very much a spontaneous thing in the bar downstairs.

        Hope this helps

I dont have an answer for you, unfortunately. But I too would be very interested in what others have to say.

I want dancing and romance! Although I am sure my husband would love that....sigh.

I'm not sure what their plans are for NYE, but Vintage Chophouse has great food, a dressy-cool atmosphere, and live music every weekend. There is usually an impromptu dance floor in front of the band. I've included their URL.
