Eats en route to Lilooet, BC

fooday Jul 28, 2005 01:47 PM

Will be heading to Lilloet and environs for the longweekend. Was wondering if anyone could recommend any eats along the way or around the Lilloet area? Anything in Pemberton worth trying? Anything in or around Lilloet of interest??

I'd prefer not to stop in Whistler for eats. I'm lookin for smaller, charming places -- perfect example would be the Truffled Pig Cafe out in Field, near Lake Louise.

    Ok, I can't type today. It's LILLOOET - dbl L dbl O!

Anyhow, I will take any recommendations, pleaaase! I just don't want to end up having Earl's or the Keg or something horrendous at Whistler Village.

Can anyone recommend *anything* en route to Lillooet (from Vancouver, taking the Sea to Sky), in Lillooet or anywhere around Lilloet? I won't be picky this time! Be it corner shack or gas station resto, please recommend a decent place to me!

It still stands that I'd like to avoid Whistler.

Thank ye thank ye in advance :)

The Roadhouse at Shannon Falls for the crab and avo wraps ... nice deck too with a view of Howe Sound, kitchy, diner style in a log house. Kinda fun.

Pamela's Cook Shack on the road out of Pemberton towards Darcy and the Duffy Lake (If you're going that way): Funky. picnic tables. Good burgers and breakfasts.

Or, if you're headed up the Hurley (rough but passable in FWD car with stunning scenery before Lillooet) stop in at the Gold Bridge Hotel for good breakfasts, fried chicken and basic fare. It closes at 7 pm.
