Grits in Canada
Does anyone know where I can get Quaker quick grits somewhere in Canada? I am one of the few people around here who enjoy them with eggs, but I can't find them anywhere.

According to the Quaker oats website, Grits aren't available in Canada because not enough people like them. It is a matter of profit/loss for Quaker Oats, so unfortunately we are out of luck. If you find a place where they sell them online please let me know.

It's tough times for Grits lovers in Canada. Hoppin' Johns was mail ordering them and True Grits was appearing briefly on store shelves, but 2 issues put an end to it. Real, premium, old fashioned grits (not Quakers) are made from whole grain/kernal corn, including the germ so: 1st/ They must be stored in the freezer if beiing kept more than a week or two & 2nd/ there is a huge trade pissing match between Canadian & US corn producers and the Canadians have charged the US with "Dumping" and all US whole grain corn products are not allowed across the border including Grits. Hoppin' John got a nasty letter from our Government about the Grits he sent me last year, and he won't ship any more.
Too bad, so sad!!
