Good time to be a cook in Seattle, and that's suprising because there aren't nearly the number of restaurant openings that there were last year at this time. Or at least it seems that way to me. In any case, The Painted Table, is apparently not going casual for now. They have just hired Mark Costello, formerly of Palace Kitchen. I looked at his new menu, which looks like it's worth trying. There is a prix fixe tasting menu as well.
