Vancouver isn't a particularly big place as you'll see it's a 10 minute walk at mosat from your hotel.

BTW-'Dive Bar' in Canada means the *worst* kind of place-poor choice of words on your part.

How else is someone to point out that an error in language has been committed?
Ask permission to correct them?
The arrogance is contained in your useless addition to this thread.
When you have something of worth to add to this board do post again-until such time your response is worth the paper it's written on.

let me clarify: what i meant by 'dive' bar' was a place that was cheap, and hopefully patronized by locals, as opposed to soulless downtown tourist sports bars. an example would be jean lafitte's blacksmith shop, a dive by any definition, where we hosted a party in new orleans. thanks for the advice, though

Head to Malone's, it's probably the best fit nearby. Very local, not pretty, but local. The manager's name is Kevin. He's good people.

Have a blast. go sox.

Real Dive Bars, the kind you can live to talk about:
The Lamplighter in Gastown in The Dominion Hotel.
The Yale, great place for blues music, I hate the blues though.
The Cecil, good place for naked ladies.
No 5 Orange, better place for naked ladies.

Good places to die.

The Balmoral, The Cobalt, The American, and The Ivanhoe. Maybe The Cambie.
