Best breakfast spot, North Vancouver?

  • s

We are heading up that way this weekend, staying at the Lonsdale Quay in N Vancouver. I'm looking for some good breakfast joints. Some place that specializes in breakfasts and serves them late. No brunch, I want breakfast. I suppose some place close to the Sea Bus terminal in Vancouver would be fine as well.
Thanks, Scott

  1. Sounds like you need to head to the The Tomahawk Restaurant, on Phillip near Marine Drive. They've been serving up big and tasty breakfasts from their native-artifact-filled log cabin since 1926. Best breakfast award winners for numerous years straight. My fav's (if I'm real hungry) are the Yukon Style Bacon and Eggs or the Chuck Wagon Breakfast.

You can grab any west-bound bus from the Quay, but ask the driver if they are crossing Phillip on Marine drive as the routes change a bit during rush hour. It's about 10 minutes.

They open at 8am on weekends.

Yeah - the Tomahawk is easily the best place to get a traditional type breakfast I have ever been to. The decor deserves honorable mentions also as there is no shortage of eye candy about the place

    2. If you want something completely different, catch the Sea Bus at Lonsdale Quay and travel across the harbour. Walk to the Marine Building and visit Imperial Chinese Seafood Restaurant. They open at 10:30 am on weekends.
This is not bacon and eggs but everything served is delightful. The views and overall ambience are great.
