A new Japanese restaurant opened in Yaletown called Shiru-Bay (right next to Cactus Club)I think it is a chain from Japan (Izakaya style). Has anyone been? Would love some feedback. Thinking of trying it out this weekend so if I do I will let you know. Regards.

Was just there last weekend. you're right, it is a chain from tokyo. The food is izakaya, much like hapa. It's good, I recommend trying it, not too expensive, cool room, cooks imported from japan, funny sayings on the menu. However, maybe they are still working out a few kinks in the food, of the few dishes i tried a couple were excellent and the others just pretty good. it seemed to me that hapa or guu are a little better, but it's definitely worth trying. The sushi was really well presented and the ebi chili mayo was delicious, nice and spicy.
